Out of 57 organizations interviewed on how they had improved decision processes, most were able to identify at least one decision that had been improved. The most striking finding is that organizations employed a variety of intervention types involving technology, organizational changes, and new business methods. Analytical interventions were the most commonly adopted, followed by culture and leadership. In order to implement these interventions, decision analysts had to adopt a more consulting-oriented role within their organizations.
